Here is the story ... I was wishing for any old time washing machine like my mama got from my grandma Tucker (see photos in this comment)...
Mama used to have flowers planted in it.
My daughter heard me and thought I was talking about the white one from our childhood. They bought it at a garage sale.. The lady their said it worked the last time she used it. She just unplugged it and put it in the barn when the new one came. She was tired of having to wring out her clothes.
So my guess is most likely it still works.
